Electionday 15th of March: Water Authority Amstel, Gooi and Vecht
Regional Public Water Authority Amstel, Gooi en Vecht is one of 21 regional water authories in The Netherlands. We manage the water in our country to prevent floods and make sure there's just the right amount of water for agriculture, urban living and other purposes.
Every person who has a permittance to stay in the Netherlands and is 18 years of older is allowed to vote for the Waterauthority.
The water Authority tax we all have to pay is for flood protection, treatment of waste water and proper water levels in the polders for people for nature and agricultural uses. Our country especially the West is under see level. Without efforts of the Water authority we have floods. Clean water is necessary for public health.
The political party CU, Christen Unie(ChristianUnion), is a Christian social democratic party based on Christian values(creed of Nicea).
Our political party, will continue to work in the elected board of the Water Authority Amstel Gooi and Vecht, on sustainable, climate-proof water management
Our key message in the elections:
- Remission of taxes for people who has not enough financial capacity
- Regulation to well groundwater in dry seasons. So the level will not be too low. To save enough water for people, nature and agriculture. We want to collaborate with all authorities, people and companies involved.
- Ciricular economy in 2030 two more sewage water purification installations with a Greengas installation and ‘’Fosvaatje’’ like RWZI Amsterdam Westpoort. to extract raw materials to make greengas and to make fertilizer.
The next period our CU team likes to collaborate: building bridges between various groups of people: farmers, companies and people who love to be in nature and in and on the water. We want to reduce the amount of carbon emissions released in the air. Our challenge in the next period is to make the financial situation more stable. The water recreation is also one of our goals. We want to expand the possibility of swimming. We will make it come true that we can swim everywhere in the area of Water Authority Amstel Gooi and Vecht .
